Ford's got an exciting new strategy in Spain! Giving a boost to its Used Car business - Ford Seleccion - is a product innovation that is sure to catch people's interest.
I personally dont like the musky smell of new cars, but undoubtedly the smell is an integral part of the feeling of 'owning' a brand new car. So the people at Ford have worked with specialists to come up with a 'new car' aroma that will make buying a used car, a little bit more interesting.
Of course, this innovation alone is unlikely to make people buy more Ford cars. But the viral video catches my attention enough to get Ford up there in my consideration list. I like the fact that the video is simple and straightforward - nothing fancy. If the idea is new and interesting enough, why waste time layering the message? So Ford says it well. I definitely want to see what this smells like :)
