I love the Hero ad. I hate the Hero logo. I saw it on a shop signage as I drove into work and I feel it has no impact. But time will tell. Logos - like tunes - sometimes grow on you. However, first thoughts - could have been better.
The TV commercial is just common good sense. It does not try to be clever; what is more obvious than this idea for a brand named Hero? But they have not taken any chances with execution. The most reliable music composer, a very accomplished film maker. The episodes in the film are not surprising in any way but well directed. I like the touches of the bindi on the little girl's forehead; the Muslim boy.
But there were possible improvements. The phone showing 'calling Abba' should have just said 'abba' if he was already listening. Rahman could have been better dressed :)
It works though - the tune hummed in my head a few times yesterday. And yes there is a hero in everyone.
