"Hey, they are selling scaled down models of Ferrari at the Shell petrol bunk, do you want one?" - asked my friend. I am also the shameless sorts. Take a look at one of the six i got :D .

But, the point of the story is not about my shamelessness - it is about will this promotion be a successful one for Shell. One that will make a few go out of their way to drive down to a Shell bunk. One that can buy them a few converts.
Now what happens when you reach a Shell bunk is completely different. If its your first time - be prepared for the warm regional welcome, for the questions and the interest they show in you. Its an experience. Not everyone may like it, definitely not the rushy-pushy types. But I can vouch, there will be many who will go there just for that experience. The well trained crew inform you about everything they have - including the promotion, just in case you missed looking at the big banner.
I cannot remmeber the last time a petrol bunk promotion got me so excited. The credit card discounts did not get me so excited. The waiving of the transactional fees did not get me so excited. Shell from their experiences in other markets should know better - The Ferrari's will. The miniatures ( 1:38 scaled models ) are in no means substandard. At Rs 100 its a good deal. All of them come with the official Ferrari Hologram. They run at dual speed - that was a first timer for me :).
I have already been quite vocal about my bias for Fiat and the earlier Fiat Palio advertisements with Michael Schumacher in them, what about others.
