The windows phone 7 mobile ad is interesting and the reaction is mixed. Its interesting because it shows real life accidents that happen to mobile phone users. The reaction is mixed because it really cant prevent the accidents, can it?
The production quality of the ad is top notch, the real life accidents that the windows phone 7 ad shows are optimally exagerrated! :) But the accidents all stem from the fact that users are addicted to their mobile phones, its not because the phone has a fault. Texting or browsing while walking is more to do with the humans than their phones, so I thought and I dont seem to be alone.
Here are a few tweets that resonate what I felt when I saw the official windows phone 7 "Be Here Now" ad.
KatFrench: @michellej Agreed. I also fail to appreciate what Windows Mobile is saying in their ad. "We have the least fascinating phone on earth."?
justinkellar : Windows Phone 7 marketing is working like a charm. Every page I visit shows me an ad for a phone I don't want to buy.
gavinthomas11 : does the new Windows Phone 7 ad campaign mean they are going to be happy with low usage numbers/time?
cannontrodder: Baffling Windows 7 mobile ad : http://is.gd/gQwpG What's the tagline? "You won't want to use it?"
camerondaigle: If you watch the new Windows Phone commercial on mute, it just seems like an ad for a phone that will ruin your life.
leewilson86 : TV Ad selling Microsoft Windows Phone 7 accompanied with the chilling Alton Towers theme tune - that's a sign it will probably be hell!
openskye: I really like the ad for the Windows phone, but I have no idea how that concept will sell phones. Really? #fb
jacobbijani: The Windows Phone 7 ad campaign is that you probably won't really like using it much...?
NicLewis: So, the gist of this Microsoft ad is you're safer with a Windows phone because you won't want to look at it. They've got a point.
RossKaplan: Microsoft Ad Campaign: 'Buy the New Windows Phone. It's Less Addictive than Competing Cell Phones?!?' http://bit.ly/9AmcMa
