This ad makes no sense at all. The message is clear - but it seems like such a lazy piece of work! Almost something someone did in a rush to meet a deadline.
The story line is boring. Completely unconvincing and silly. The execution quality is poor. The football season was an exciting one and Vodafone missed that bus. Airtel's contest ads on football trivia was far more engaging, relevant and fun.
After all the great advertising Vodafone has done in India - there is a lot of expectation associated with their ads. Even one little dampener like this will be remembered more because of the good stuff that preceded it!
