Vodafone the indian telecommunication company have started the 2010 season of ZooZoo ads. What better timing than to coincide with the start of IPL 2010. The cute and lovable zoozoo character debuted last year coinciding with the IPL 2009 T20 tournament. In 2009, ZooZoos, their (ad)stories and the technique used to create them all received a well deserved appreciation. This season too Vodafone would want the love for ZooZoos to continue to cherish the hearts of fans.
The opening ad for this season, the one that has been on air since yesterday is the "star of the match". In my opinion it looks more to be the "bali ka bakra of the match". You have a cool dude hunter Zoozoo busy at his work, he gets ambushed and gets carried away with all the band baaja. What does that remind you of?. It feels to me that the hunter zoozoo is taken captive and will be cooked in a cauldron!!
That was my response to @che2on. Twitter as expected showed a lot of activity for #zoozoo. There were others as well who did not get this ad. But most seemed to welcome the return of ZooZoo. The www.chaaps.com guy, Chetan Thimmappa's blog on the zoozoo hunter ad was the first I came across. Chetan ofcourse seemed to like the ad. I have always felt, ZooZoo has become an independent entity that attracts much attention to itself, than the services of Vodafone that it should help selling. I love the Zoozoo and the entertainment value, but i really cannot see how it is helping to increase the value added services customers.
Its only the begining of ZooZoo season 2010,We still have 45 more days of IPL 2010 cricket to go, Going by the past, we should see new action from ZooZoo everyday.
