So I am not a big 'action' fan. But the Thumbs up series has finally got me with its consistency and edge-of-the-seat action. Each commercial has a story - how much Akshay Kumar loves his drink. And each ad does justice to the story - the cool look, the pretty girls, the twists & turns, non-stop excitement and then, an interesting climax. It is almost like watching a movie (and I like watching movies!)

So they don't think of anything dramatically new in each ad - but it still is refreshing and keeps my attention. Akshay as the brand ambassador is perhaps not given as much credit as he should be - the fact is that he is a very good fit, and does a good job in all the ads. The commercials are alive and charge up the audience as well, and the music keeps pace.

I would be tempted to try Thumbs up. In fact, it almost makes up for the lack of the 'taste the thunder' jingle - almost, but not quite :)
