Park Avenue deo is back with an advertisment to mark its presence in IPL 2010. The idea still remains - use Park Avenue deo and get attention. The execution however has turned 180 degrees from their last advertisement.
A normal office goer is shown invisible first and the use of Park Avenue deodorant gets him visibility and attracts attention of colleagues. That was the Park Avenue ad last year. This years ad makes everyone else invisible as soon as our hero sprays himself with Park Avenue deo. The major difference i feel is that there is a shift in who is the target audience. Is it someone who tries to get attention, or is it someone who gets it without trying hard?
This years ad clearly brings out the target audience as a trying one. They even show the guy standing around without getting attention before using the product. Is that good?
I would like to see Park Avenue deo to be showcased as a product for the James Bond type of character. A young CEO making his team feel "classy awesomeness" over a lunch or dinner is a good alternative. What are your choices?
