I chanced on an Abhishek Bachchan interview after this TVC was launched. On the interviewer's extremely juvenile question on is it right to commercialise a personal relationship like in the lux ad, he brushed aside the issue with saying there is a hygiene message in the ad. And on a more serious note said that everyone is here to earn a living, so what's the harm?
True. What does this ad do for Lux. The couple looks gorgeous, and add a 'premium' value to the brand. But Ash by herself was enough to achieve that. The ad recall is much higher than the typical, cliche Lux ads. Perhaps that was the only purpose? The storyline is predictable, the execution neat. Could they have done something more interesting with the star couple? I think so.

Well, I think Aishwayra has never looked as sensual as she does in this ad. Every woman wants to feel sensual and if a mere soap can deliver it, why not?
