I have always wondered why cosmetics commercials are so boring. There is not one interesting one that I can remember in the last many months. Typically you have a model or celebrity smiling prettily – which is fine – but nothing more … ever!
The new aquashine lip colour from Lakme seems like an interesting product – brings together the benefits of a lipstick, gloss and a lip balm. Nice. So why is the ad is so boring?
Instead of saying anything more, lets look at a truly brilliant campaign – perhaps the only one in the ‘beauty’ space that moves in a memorable way. Dove’s campaign for real beauty.
