Facts first DNA stands for Daily News and Analysis. :). Its a Newspaper.
The first ones to be seen were the "I Believe In Bangalore". They were many to reflect the young cosmopolitan culture of Bangalore. Many might have thought it to be a new mall or store.
Then it became "I Believe In Bangalore, because Bangalore is in my DNA". No clue yet, but they were all over Bangalore. They still are.
Now they are out there saying out loud nice things about Bangalore. Nice things from different perspectives, from traffic jams to IIMB.
I feel DNA is doing a good job by trying to identify with Bangaloreans. I wonder what their pitch in other cities is.
It is a welcome break compared to what we were seeing from Bangalore Mirror or deccan chronicle.
The campiagn encourages me to give DNA a try.

The new DNA hoardings
At the time I wrote the earlier post it seemed that Bangalore's DNA was identified. The new hoardings with choices for what's in Bangalore's DNA may be good for a conversation to kick off, but doubt if it would do any good for the brand.
I am more inclined to think that its going to bring down the pride that it created with the earlier hoardings. The pride that would have made someone to try DNA. The earlier hoardings brought Bangaloreans togather and the new ones seems to suggest at first look to divide them. Why ?
I wish they would have waited for me to buy my first copy :).
