I have seen this a few times over the last week, and find it simple and interesting. The use of this one-way vinyl has been in vogue for a long time in buses, bank ATMs etc. But I have not seen a good use of it - until now.
Deccan Herald's 'What have you read today' did not impress me much. While it stayed in my mind, it did not give me enough reason to switch to the newspaper.
What I find interesting about this Deccan Herald bus outdoor campaign is an excellent mix of messaging (everyone is reading DH, are you?), the medium (relevant way of spending time in buses in the 'busy' times we live in), and the material (making it look from the outside like people inside are reading DH - all of them!).
This definitely turned eyes, made me smile and kept me looking out for it the next time I was on the road, to get a picture and talk about it! A much better use of outdoor media in my view than ACs sticking out of hoardings for no specific reason!
