The Deccan Herald's "news that makes me ..." advertisement is a clever extension to what started with the "what have you read today?". For me Deccan Herald has always been the newspaper at home, so I am biased and glad that its not turned out to be a dissappointment.
The "what have you read today?" campaign of Deccan Herald had some good innovative executions but The question itself seemed very open ended to me. However Deccan Herald now seems to be closing the gaps and giving out a more precise message on how it helps the reader. I am not sure if this is the second advertising innings of a well thought through campaign or a corrective action, but it is better and in line with what Deccan Herald started out with.
DNA and Deccan Chronicle advertised quite a bit for their launch. Of the two DNA had a good start and raised interests with "Bangalore is in my DNA" teaser ads, however the ads that followed the launch left me confused.
