With a resonating background score, SRK and Airtel hit the right chords when they tell you that your mobile usage, just like a romantic relationship, is different everyday.
What goes well for the ad: In 30 seconds, Rediffusion Y&R tells us the different kinds of plans you could choose from (150 national & local SMS, 30p local calls, etc) through the eyes of a man in love. Women would relate to it, the guy changes his plans for the girl! Men relate to the erratic needs of the girlfriend.
Job well done.
Some of the scenes showing Chitrangadha are reused in regional versions of the ad. I actually saw the tamil version of the ad first, with Karthik and Chitrangadha. Took some time to get used to SRK with the same lady. Maybe something that could be avoided in an ad intended to make the audience empathize with the characters.
